Boo who
I've been busy canvasing for the campaign. It's been a good, if exhausting, experience. I'm glad I finally connected with the local democratic organization.
Amid neighborhoods sprouting Halloween lights and apparitions, the door-to-door has been a hoot. At this hour the mood of the McCain camp is generally withdrawn and grimly hunkered-down. The Obamans are hopeful and quietly exultant. What remains of the undecideds seem to have qualms they can't quite articulate.
The Halloween demographic is varied too, and oddly reflects its human counterpart...

Man, a couple of those decorations are kinda disturbing! My favorite is the ghost around the mailbox.
As far as the election, I have a feeling that, after I cast my vote, I'll be reliving those moments - albeit more discreetly - when I was wishing for my new bike: fists clenched, eyes squinched shut, repeating to myself "please oh please oh please" let our guy take the helm.
Oh what fun! I love the picture of the Cox's.
Your pictures are always so first rate. You really do have an eye and talent for making the most mundane into art. I applaud you.
It fascinates me that so many pro Obama signs of support are sprouting up in my little red necked city of Missouri. It gives me a sense of hope.
Be well, my Floridian friend.
Joe, thanks for the work you are doing for the campaign and for all of us! What fun that its taking you out into the autumn countryside.
I LOVE that giant skeleton in the first photo...and the Coxes are fun, too.
First photo, my fave.
So glad you are actively canvassing for Obama...way to go Joe. There's nothing like real action, in action! LOL
So have yourself, a merry little Halloween. xoxo
Wow, that first one is great. Creepy, like halloween should be. I hate those lighted blow up nylon decorations, there's nothing creepy about them.
BOO!
That is what I think a lot of gay Americans will be saying if the McCain-Palin team win this election! Boo! Boo! Good luck Joe.
I like the "ghost around the mailbox" picture.
We just voted this evening by absentee ballot, which I will put in the mail tomorrow morning. I wish the whole thing were over, the republicans have been whinning for two years and they're on my last nerve. Hopefully, they will not steal this election.
I love all the pics, Joe, but the first is my fave.
That first photo is the best decoration I've seen all season.
