Almost a decade ago, I worked for one of the beach newspapers. The pub was between cartoonists, so I volunteered to come up with a few while the paper sought applications for the gig. My sense of humor didn't always go over that well. Here's one I called 'mosquito control.'

9 tracks in the sand:
I love your cartoon... I think it's more a matter of your getting published where the readership will understand intelligent humor!
Oh, nicely done!!!
You not only know everything, you can do everything too. Did the kids try to run in the smoke?
Thanks Christopher... some communities take their beachfront property really seriously.
Thanks, Greg.
Birdie, you're too kind (not saying I disagree with you!) When the "smoke" got to the ground it was completely invisible (insert squeaky evil mosquito laugh here).
Is this one of those that didn't go over well. I think it's hilarious!
Pretty funny!
I get it!
Jazz this one actually went over OK. Some of the others, not so much. I'll post a couple, I think I did five or six in all. Extensive use of clip art. I think my "Munchkin by proxy syndrome" toon was my last.
Tink, JM.
Curtis, I'm proud of you!
Joe, this says so much about mosquitos.
Dastardly little fellows.
Is there anything you can't do?
My multitalented friend. xoxo
